Can I see what's in stock at stores near me?

Yes. The Local tab uses your ZIP to show what's on the shelf or ready for pickup at nearby branches of Target, Five Below, GameStop and other chains, sorted by distance. Where a chain doesn't publish live shelf counts we show the nearest branches with a “call to check” note instead of guessing.

What does the hype score mean?

Every squishy gets a blended hype score built from eBay resale activity, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit and Google Trends. It's a quick read on how viral something is right now — the top 10 leaderboard is free, and Scout Pro shows the per-source breakdown on every product.

Why does something say “In store only” or “Unconfirmed”?

“In stock” means you can buy and ship it right now. “In store only” means it's on a shelf or pickup-ready but not shippable. “Unconfirmed” means the listing hasn't been re-checked inside its normal scan window, so we won't claim it's available. Every listing shows exactly when it was last checked.

Is there a community side?

Yes — leave reviews, build public collections, follow other collectors and post Have/ISO trades. Reviews and collections are open to everyone 13+; public profiles and the trade board are 18+ only, and teen accounts run in Safe Mode with those switched off.

How old do I have to be?

13 and up. Accounts aged 13–17 run in Safe Mode: full stock tracking, alerts and local lookups, but no public profile and no community posting.

How does Squishy Scout make money?

Scout Pro subscriptions, plus affiliate commissions when you buy through some retailer links — at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are labelled in the app and never change which products we show or how we rank stock.

How often does Squishy Scout check for stock?

Every store is on a rolling scan cycle. On Scout Pro, hot items you're watching are re-checked every couple of minutes; on the free plan stock status refreshes every 6 hours. Each store and listing shows exactly when it was last checked.

Which stores are covered?

Big-box retailers like Target, Walmart, Amazon, Kohl's, Michaels, Five Below and Barnes & Noble, plus dozens of independent squishy boutiques that restock in small batches.

Do I get notified when something restocks?
