These Terms govern your use of Squishy Scout, a stock-tracking and alerting service operated by Robert Barr ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Squishy Scout on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age to enter a contract.

Minimum age and Safe Mode

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Squishy Scout account. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and use it only to apply age rules. Accounts belonging to members aged 13–17 run in Safe Mode: stock tracking, alerts, local store lookups and private collections all work, but public collector profiles and community features (following, reactions, replies and the trade board) are switched off. Community features are limited to members aged 18 and over. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we will close it.

Community conduct

Reviews, replies, bios and trade posts are screened automatically and may be held or removed by us. Do not post harassment, hate, sexual content, personal contact details, or anything unlawful. Trades arranged through the board are strictly between members — we do not broker, host payments, or guarantee any swap.

The service

Squishy Scout monitors publicly available retailer product listings and reports whether items appear to be in stock, plus related signals such as resale price ranges and social interest. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any retailer or brand we track. Stock data is gathered automatically and can be delayed, incomplete or wrong — always confirm on the retailer's own site before purchasing. Nothing on Squishy Scout is financial or investment advice; resale and hype figures are informational estimates only.

Affiliate and third-party links

Some links to retailer websites are affiliate links. This means we may earn a small commission when you make a qualifying purchase through those links, at no additional cost to you. We only tag links for products that appear to be in stock and shippable. Affiliate links are disclosed clearly in the app. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, availability or checkout experience of any third-party retailer site.

Your account

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the service unlawfully, or for fraud, spam or resale of our data feeds;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property rights;
• interfere with the security of the service — no malware, probing, or automated scraping of Squishy Scout;
• reverse engineer, redistribute, or circumvent plan limits or technical restrictions.

Licence and intellectual property

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Squishy Scout within the plan you have selected. We retain ownership of the service, its software, data compilations and branding. Retailer and brand names remain the property of their respective owners.

Subscriptions and payment

Scout Pro is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually until cancelled. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, taxes, cancellation and refund mechanics are covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms, together with our Refund Policy, which allows a refund request within 14 days of an order. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Service level

We work to keep Squishy Scout available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Retailers change or block their feeds without notice, which can pause or degrade coverage for individual stores. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we exclude indirect, consequential or special damages including lost profits, lost purchases, lost data or goodwill. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where that exclusion is not permitted. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service or your breach of these Terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may close your account at any time from Settings. On termination your access ends and your account data is deleted or anonymised in line with our Privacy Notice.

General

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign ours in a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Robert Barr is established, and disputes will be heard in the courts of that jurisdiction.
