Put Squishy Scout on your home screen

Squishy Scout installs straight from your browser — no app store, no download. You get an app icon, a full-screen app window, and the fastest possible restock alerts.

Installing unlocks push alerts

On iPhone and iPad, push notifications only work once the app is installed. On Android and desktop they work either way, but the installed app keeps receiving alerts with your browser closed.

iPhone & iPad (Safari)

  1. 1Open squishyscout.com in Safari (not Chrome — only Safari can install on iOS).
  2. 2Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. 3Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”.
  4. 4Tap “Add”, then open Squishy Scout from your home screen.
  5. 5Inside the installed app, go to Alerts → Settings and turn on push notifications.

On iPhone and iPad, Apple only allows push notifications after the app is installed to the home screen. Installing is the only way to get instant restock alerts on iOS.

Android (Chrome)

  1. 1Open squishyscout.com in Chrome.
  2. 2Tap the ⋮ menu in the top right.
  3. 3Tap “Install app” (or “Add to Home screen”), then confirm.
  4. 4Open Squishy Scout from your app drawer and turn on push in Alerts → Settings.

Desktop (Chrome & Edge)

  1. 1Open squishyscout.com in Chrome or Edge.
  2. 2Click the install icon on the right side of the address bar (a screen with a down arrow).
  3. 3Click “Install” — Squishy Scout opens in its own window and pins to your dock or taskbar.

Already installed before today?

The app now opens straight into the tracker (or sign-in) instead of the homepage. iPhone and iPad remember the old opening page from when you installed, so delete the Squishy Scout icon from your home screen and add it again once to pick up the change.

Not seeing an install option?

Private/incognito windows and in-app browsers (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) can't install. Open squishyscout.com in Safari or Chrome directly and the option appears.
